1. Information and data we collect from you
MPDC collects personal and non-personally identifiable information depending on the service we provide to you. The personal information we ask for is because it is required in order to provide a service to you. The non-personally identifiable information is in relation to our website.
2. Visiting The Website
Every time you visit our website to read a blog post or to browse our pages, we will use cookies to track your use of the website. We use Google Analytics and Hotjar. This will save cookies to your computer’s hard drive in order to track and monitor your use of the website, but will not store, save or collect personal information. Google Analytics helps us to estimate the number of website users, identify the pages visited, identify the location of users and how much time was spent on the website. 3. Engaging our services
When you contract with us for consultancy, coaching or to attend one of our courses we will collect personal data about you. This includes but is not limited to name, email address, address, telephone numbers, employers details, reasons for engagement, dietary and access requirement and emergency contact details. These details are retained for a period of 24 months. In order to have your details deleted please refer to the ‘Your rights’ section below.
4. Newsletter sign up forms
By filling in our newsletter form, you freely give the following information – name and email address. This information is used to provide you with our newsletter and to email you with information about our services. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time by clicking the ‘Unsubscribe’ link contained within the newsletter email, or by emailing us at info@mariepaterson.com.

5. Downloads & Media Files
The website contains links to external materials such as podcasts. Any downloadable documents, files or media made available on this website are provided to users at their own risk. We take precautions to ensure we only link to genuine downloads but you are advised to verify their authenticity using third party antivirus software or similar applications.
6. External Website Links & Third Parties
Through this website you are able to link to the websites of other organisations, social media, advertisers and affiliates which are not under the control of Marie Paterson Wellbeing Consultancy. We have no control over the nature, content and availability of those sites and cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of your information whilst visiting such sites. Please exercise caution and read through their privacy statement. The inclusion of any links does not necessarily imply a recommendation or endorse the views expressed within them.
Every effort is made to keep the website up and running smoothly however MPWC takes no responsibility for, and will not be liable for, the website being temporarily unavailable due to technical issues beyond our control.
7. Social Media
We use social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram) to communicate and engage with our clients and prospective clients. This website uses buttons which link directly to social media platforms.
This website will never ask for personal or sensitive information through social media platforms and encourage users wishing to discuss sensitive details to contact us through direct communication channels such as by telephone or email.
8. Use of your data
We use information held about you in the following ways:
A. To carry out our obligations from any contracts entered into between you and us.
B. To provide you with information, products or services that you request from us.
C. To provide you with information, products or services which we feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes.
D. To ensure that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer.
E. To allow you to participate in interactive features of our service, when you choose to do so.

9. Who we share your data with
Any data you share with us is kept private. We don’t share any personally identifying information publicly or with third-parties, except when required to by law or in the instances listed below.

10. How long we retain your data
Your data is kept for 24 months after the end of any contract we have with you, such as for when you engage our services or attend a course.
For newsletter subscriptions we will remove your data when you unsubscribe.
11. Where we store your data
We keep and store your data on password-protected computers in the UK and on Apple icloud and Google Drive. We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your data is held securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.
We use Microsoft Office for our email accounts. Our website is hosted by GoDaddy.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Our website has a SSL certificate and we aim to protect your personal data however we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site so any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use the systems described above to manage and store your data.
12. Your rights
You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. If you have sent us an enquiry or are a customer of ours, you can request to receive a file of the personal data we hold about you. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
